Nadine Savino has built the better mousetrap, and like the proverb, has the world beating a path to her suburban Staten Island door.  Along with doubtless millions of Moms before her, Nadine faced a problem at the supermarket: her four-year-old son was proffered a wide-mouthed bottle of chocolate milk exquisitely designed to spill and slosh over child, car, and groceries.  But Nadine was an entrepreneur who rather than cursing the darkness sought a solution. She began experimenting and developing a stretchable, non-spillable cap which could fit over these scores of carelessly designed drink containers.

From there, Nadine’s GCap (named for her son Giovanni) has exploded onto the market, with dozens of national endorsements, funding offers, media appearances, and big-box stores clearing shelf space for this most useful invention.  In addition to inventing simply a darn useful tool for any mother to have in her arsenal, creator Nadine has done all the business-launching steps very, very right.  From the rapidly gained patent, cleverly laid out promotional campaign, restructuring to thrifty U.S.-based production, and several carefully planned details, this impressively modest woman has contributed a product that really makes lives easier.  Score one for the good side of the business community.
