Nick Donofrio

Nicholas Donofrio is, simply, a grand master of technology, banking, the role of corporate directors, artificial intelligence, and the true value of working people who make it all happen. Nick began innovating IBM in 1964 when the integrated circuit was cutting edge. For the next 44 years, Nick undertook inventive technology challenges from developing memory chips to Big Blue’s top manufacturing and strategy teams. In 2008, he was selected as an IBM fellow, the company’s highest technical honor.

As an overlapping career, Nick has served for the last 20 years as a director on the board of Bank of New York Mellon, creatively transforming the systems of the Federal Reserves major bank. Nick’s other corporate directorships (at least a dozen) include INROADS, Liberty Mutual, TopCoder, MITRE, as well as director for the National Association of Corporate Directors. Business Week Magazine has named him The 25 Top Innovation Champions.
