Arturo Osorio has his guiding hand in every slice of the business community pie.  Professor of Urban Entrepreneurism and Global Business at the Rutgers University Business School, Dr. Osorio founded and engineers that university’s Undergraduate Entrepreneurship program. He holds fellowships at the CUEED – the Center for Urban Entrepreneurship and Economic Development and the Cornwall Center for Urban Research.  He is a member of the elite Learning Labs for Resiliency Brain Trust. On the practical end, Arturo also has handled the financials for the huge international telescope in his native Argentina.

All these widespread efforts are fueled by Dr. Osorio’s personal passion for what he terms socially responsible entrepreneurship.  In our real world, most entrepreneurs go prowling after the cash.  They determine that item for which folks will willingly part with their money and Voila! – An invention and a business gets born.  Osorio insists that there is a more beneficial and indeed more profitable path to business forming.  “Look for the social need.” Osorio insists.  “Find where the public is underserved and fill That need.”  Does your city have inadequate education in certain trades? Transportation to work? Affordable housing or daycare?  Write your business plan to solve that, preaches Osorio, and count on it, the community will beat a path to your door.
